This is a day dedicated to the grandness of Hikkaduwa, and senior citizens from across the spectrum. Every grandparent will be able to enjoy discounts around town, a parade featuring over 400 performers highlighting the local customs, a food festival, and a cultural show on the main stage. All citizens above 60 will be able to receive discounts at selected hotels in Hikkaduwa

The day will feature a variety of activities that include a Kids corner, beach horseriding a sandcastle competition, beach netball, and a beach market. All ladies will be able to enjoy a 20% discount at select locations, while the day will end with an international drum festival featuring the best percussionists in the country. Bikram Singh, hailed as one of the great musical prodigies in this region, will also perform alongside the cream of the crop of

Friday will feature a range of daytime activities that include a kite festival, beach rugby, beach horseriding, a kids corner and much more. However, the highlight of the day will be the beach rave, with a combination of pumping music, pulsing white light, and thousands of people dancing on the sand, surrounded by the beauty of the ocean. Foreign DJ’s, including Paul Mendez and Master J, along with drummers, will start off the rave, which goes on till Sunday morning.
